Race 1

Adam Lacko took a brilliant victory in wet conditions at Autodrom Most this afternoon to send his large collection of home fans delirious with delight.

The reigning FIA ETRC champion blasted through from third on the grid to overtake first Steffi Halm and then Sascha Lenz to complete his second victory of the season.

The decisive moment in the race came on lap five when he made a textbook move on pole sitter Lenz to snatch the lead and open out an immediate small advantage.

It was a highly popular victory for Lacko as he aims to hunt down rival Jochen Hahn for the 2018 FIA European Truck Racing Championship title. His win today and Hahn’s third place mean he gained eight points to bring the gap down to 49-points.

Lenz was by no means entirely dropped by the flying Lacko and was able to stay in touch to some extent in his SL Trucksport MAN, with the German took the chequered flag just 1.8s adrift of Lacko’s slipstream.

Race 2

Adam Lacko pulled off the greatest victory of his FIA ETRC career in the second race at Most today to seal a double success in front of his adoring home crowd.

The Buggyra International Racing System driver took a sensational win at the final corner after coming from eighth to first. His drive sent the large partisan crowd in to delirium and to take one of the most memorable wins in recent FIA ETRC history.

Lacko’s race winning move was completed just metres before the chequered flag as he powered out of the final turn in the wet conditions to overtake Rene Reinert and win by just 0.168 seconds. His audacious pass was met with roars of delight from the packed Most grandstands.

Reinert had converted pole position to open an immediate lead and resisted massive pressure from first Norbert Kiss and then Lacko in the final few laps as the finish headed for a thrilling climax.

However, the German could not quite hang on and watched in both horror and wonder as Lacko pulled off his heroic move at the last turn.

The win further reduced Jochen Hahn’s title lead to 44-points as the German finished a lowly sixth.
