"I had only done two days of testing and participated in a race in KZ2 in Italy before arriving at Varennes. I quickly adapted to the power and speed changes in this category, but I still lacked a bit of experience for specific lines and overtaking. All this came easily during testing. I know the Varennes track and my team, Energy Corse, did a very good job. I must admit that the TM prepared by Bruno Daldosso was diabolical!

"I was in on it from qualifying with the seventh fastest time, but I had a transmission problem in the first heat. Fortunately, I was then able to win the other five without incident. I felt more comfortable and I was able to impose in the prefinal. In the final, it was not easy. I was long in second, then it started to heat up as we approached the finish. I followed the new leader for some time before the attack two laps from the chequered flag. It was very emotional for me to win an international race in a new class. Of course, I was hoping for a good result at Varennes, but the victory was still the stuff of dreams! "
