Automóvil Club Boliviano Receives One-Star Rating from the FIA Environmental Accreditation Programme

The Automóvil Club Boliviano (ACB) has been awarded one-star rating from the FIA Environmental Accreditation Programme, marking a important recognition of the Club’s commitment to improve sustainability and environmental management.

This rating acknowledges ACB’s dedication to implementing responsible practices that reduce environmental impact and promote sustainable mobility within Bolivia.

As part of its rating process, the Automóvil Club Boliviano introduced a comprehensive series of initiatives, including:

  • Carbon Emission Control: Adoption of more efficient fuels and promotion of sustainable mobility practices among Club members;
  • Green Area Management: Maintenance of trees and gardens through efficient irrigation systems and the preservation of native species.
  • Environmental Policy Development: Creation of a Sustainability Manual outlining guidelines to reduce environmental impact, accompanied by staff and member training on eco-friendly practices.
  • Sustainable Supply Chain: Selection of suppliers with environmental certifications, reduction of single-use plastics, and prioritisation of recycled and low-impact materials.
  • Waste Management: Installation of recycling points for paper, plastic, and glass at the Club’s headquarters.
  • Sustainable Transport: Route optimisation to reduce emissions in institutional travel.
  • Energy Efficiency: Transition to LED lighting and low-energy air-conditioning systems.
  • Water Management: Implementation of a rainwater harvesting system for irrigation purposes.
