Established in 2019, FREC addresses a key developmental gap between FIA Formula 4 and Formula 3, providing a professional, standardised pathway for young drivers. Organised by ACI Sport in partnership with Alpine Racing, the series features 22 teams and 157 drivers across 14 European circuits, broadcast in 110 countries and reaching 2.5 billion technical contacts. The championship has become a launchpad for future Formula 1 talent and a platform for gender inclusion through its Iron Dames partnership.
