2014 6 Hours of Fuji - Event details

Since 1982 endurance racing has a rich history at Fuji International Speedway when a round of the Sports Car World Championship was contested.
Located at the foot of the world famous Mount Fuji, Fuji International Speedway is a fast track, which was rebuilt in 2005.  It hosted the first Japanese round of the World Endurance Championship in October 2012 with 40,000 fans travelling to see Toyota win on home soil.  A second win for the Japanese manufacturer in 2013 was marred by the extreme weather conditions caused by Typoon Wipha, that forced the event to be declared after only 16 laps, all of them behind the safety car.
