Historic Rally Championship
European Historic Rally Championship
The FIA European Historic Rally Championship is the ultimate time machine for any rally fan, revitalising an amazing breadth of evocative cars from some of the most iconic periods of stage competition
From the Touring Cars and GTs of the ‘50s and ‘60s to Groups 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the ‘70s and finally the unmistakable Groups A, B and N of the ‘80s, there is plenty to ignite passions both old and new.
While historically this huge range of cars never took to the stages together, there is so much more to the EHRC than recreating the past. While modern WRC cars represent the latest innovations in technology and competition, the cars of yesteryear offer a truly unique visual spectacle – there are no common genes between an Escort and a Stratos! Perhaps the most enduring impression remains the incredible sounds that the engineering masterpieces produced, whether it be the enchanting sound of the 6-cylinder Porsche, the metallic noise of the volumetric compressor in the Lancia 037 or the whisper of the Audi Quattro’s turbo, experiencing the EHRC is something that lives long in the memory. Combining classic shapes and unforgettable sounds with equally compelling stages and scenery makes for an experience that undoubtedly echoes rallying’s halcyon days.
