José María López became the first driver since Jacky Ickx and Jochen Mass in 1983 to win a world championship race on the Nürburgring Nordschleife after claiming victory in the opening WTCC Race of Germany – and then very nearly made it two wins from two in the second event.

Jake Dennis (Prema Powerteam) also claimed victory in the second race at the 2.76 kilometres long street circuit in the city of Pau, marked by entertaining action.

The only 2.76 kilometres short street circuit in the city of Pau in the south of France seems to suit Jake Dennis (Prema Powerteam) particularly well.

José María López will start the opening WTCC Race of Germany at the head of the pack after he claimed his 10th FIA World Touring Car Championship pole position presented by DHL with a stunning lap around the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife.

At the 2.76 kilometres long street circuit of Pau in the south of France, British driver Jake Dennis (Prema Powerteam, 1:21.795 minutes) was unbeatable in first qualifying and claimed pole position for the seventh race of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship season.

This weekend, the FIA Formula 3 European Championship young guns will contest the tradition-rich and prestigious Grand Prix de Pau.

MONACO (May 9 2015) – Today, Sebastien Buemi became the first driver to secure two wins in the FIA Formula E Championship. The Swiss driver won the first ever race of the series to be held in Europe, adding to his previous victory in Punta del Este. It was also the third win for a driver from the e.dams-Renault team, as Nico Prost had come out on top in Miami, thus extending its lead in the teams’ standings.
