Second edition of the FIA Extreme H World Cup confirmed for Qiddiya City, Saudi Arabia, from 29-31 October 2026. Hydrogen-powered Pioneer 25 race cars to compete in a high-intensity off-road format featuring Time Trials, Head-to-Head racing and wheel-to-wheel finals. World Cup to continue equal sporting format, with every team fielding male and female drivers competing for the same honours.

The FIA will officiate a new hydrogen land speed record attempt led by JCB on the Bonneville Salt Flats. JCB has designed, built and engineered the hydrogen-powered Hydromax vehicle to target a new land speed record. Project sees the British manufacturer return to the Bonneville Salt Flats 20 years after making history with its record-breaking Dieselmax car.

The FIA has announced 11 professional racing drivers as ambassadors for the 2026 season of the FIA Smart Driving Challenge (FIA SDC). Through the FIA SDC app, the ambassadors will lead global teams, helping drivers improve safety and sustainability on the road while competing to be named the World’s Smartest Driver. Powered by Greater Than’s AI technology, drivers worldwide can compete individually and as part of a team led by one of the world’s top racing drivers.
