At his third attempt, Sebastien Buemi, driving for the Renault e.dams team, won the Buenos Aires ePrix for the first time, which means he has won all three races of the 2016/2017 season to date. Buemi crossed the line ahead of Jean-Eric Vergne (Techeetah) and Lucas di Grassi (ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport.)

If there’s one driver who can claim to have been part of Formula E’s growth right from the start, then it’s Lucas di Grassi. The Brazilian was in Las Vegas in January 2013 where he gave the Spark race car its first run on the streets and he was back in the American city for the first eRace, as well as competing in 23 ePrix, winning 4 of them and finishing on the podium a total of 14 times.

Nick Heidfeld is a veteran of the FIA Formula E Championship: he was present in Beijing for the very first race of the series on 13 September 2014 – in fact he almost won it – and he is still competing today. He now drives for the Mahindra team, having carried the Venturi colours in the first season and so he is ideally placed to evaluate how the first ever series for completely electrically-powered single-seater cars has evolved in these two and a bit years.
