Held online and broadcast from a studio in Paris, the FIA eConference 2022 brought together more than 700 participants from 137 Clubs in 120 countries from all around the world for two days of engaging, informative and interactive sessions focused around the theme ‘A Global Voice – Empower Sustainable Growth’.

Through a large recruitment campaign, FIA Women in Motorsport and FIA Volunteers and Official Commissions join forces to offer women from all over the world the chance to be part of the 2022 FIA Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix Race Officials.

On 21 June, on the occasion of its 20th anniversary, the FIA Foundation held a Forum on Safe & Healthy Mobility in London entitled ‘Design for Life. For People & Planet’. The Forum brought together international policymakers to review progress in meeting the UN global targets to reduce road deaths and serious injuries ahead of the first-ever UN High Level Meeting on road safety (that will be held on 30 June), and to discuss air quality improvement and decarbonisation of road transportation.

The FIA Community pays tribute to Francesco Longanesi Cattani, passed away at the age of 70. He was for 10 years Director of the External Relations department at the FIA. Multilingual globe trotter, motor sport enthusiast, involved in Formula 1 and Rally with passion and dedication, he was also a great figure in the world of sailing and particularly in the America's cup through which he has achieved success and recognition. The FIA will remember him with affection and esteem. All our thoughts are with his family and friends.

Toyota took its fifth consecutive 24 Hours of Le Mans victory as well as its third one-two finish in the race

The Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO) has been awarded a 2-star FIA Environmental Accreditation rating, as announced at the press conference preceding the 90th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

During the famous 24 hours of Le Mans, the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission held its first ever networking event gathering women from the industry on site, chaired by Deborah Mayer, FIA Women in Motorsport Commission President, with the support of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO).

In accordance with the commitments taken last year by President Mohammed Ben Sulayem in his election manifesto, the FIA announces the appointment of Tanya Kutsenko, first ever Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Advisor dedicated to motor sport.

The Belize Automobile Club (BAC) and the Automovil Club de Costa Rica (ACCR) have promoted Karting events in their respective countries to encourage motor sport participation at a grassroots level.

For the first time, an FIA Girls on Track event was held in Asia, Jakarta on June 3rd ahead of the ABB FIA Formula E race. It was an exciting experience for 100 local girls, supported by FIA member club, Ikatan Motor Indonesia.
