The FIA World Endurance Championship will race back into action at Austin’s Circuit of The Americas in Texas this weekend for round five of the eight-event season. The Lone Star Le Mans race has a reputation for producing spectacular action and photo finishes, and with the Drivers’ Standings currently tied on points, it’s likely to be another epic showdown this weekend.

The FIA has announced the Cayman Motoring Federation (CMF) as the recipient of the José Abed Award at the FIA American Congress 2026 in Buenos Aires. The CMF received the award for its comprehensive education programme including learning opportunities for aspiring engineers, practical driver education and access to esports creating a pathway into motor sport. Introduced in 2023, the award recognises motor sport Clubs which have made an extraordinary contribution to knowledge-sharing, motor sport participation, regional empowerment, or sport and mobility synergy across the Americas.
