The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) together with the Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO) and the FIA ETRC promoter strongly condemns the unsavoury and demeaning comments directed at FIA ETRC truck racing driver Aliyyah Koloc and her sister Yasmeen by two competitors in the Dakar Rally and will continue to invest significant resources and expertise in developing initiatives to inspire and encourage the participation of girls and young women in motor sport. Adherence to ethical principles and promoting a diverse and inclusive culture across our sport are of the utmost importance to the FIA and the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission.

The four FIA Girls on Track - Rising Stars drivers taking part in the final and decisive Scouting Camp have now completed their five-day training and assessment at the world-famous Ferrari Driver Academy.

The four FIA Girls on Track - Rising Stars drivers have now spent two full days immersed in the world-famous Ferrari Driver Academy as part of the final phase of the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission’s innovative talent detection and nurturing programme.

Hosted at the world-famous Ferrari Driver Academy in Maranello, Italy, the youngsters now face another demanding week of assessment, training, interviews and Formula 4 track time on the Fiorano circuit as they vie for the potential to be awarded a one-year contract with the Academy for a 2021 FIA Formula 4 season. Four ambitious racers are about to embark on the most significant moment in their young careers as the final Scouting Camp of the FIA Girls on Track - Rising Stars programme commences this week (January 11-15).

Second FIA Girls on Track - Rising Stars Training Camp contained very intense driving programme. For some drivers, it was their first taste of single-seaters and Formula 4 race cars, and the pressure was on to adapt to this entry-level motor sport category and show speed and on-going progression. At the end of the second FIA Girls on Track - Rising Stars Training Camp, four drivers have secured places for the final training course at the Ferrari Driver Academy in Maranello, Italy. The final stage of the FIA Girls on Track - Rising Stars programme, which was to be hosted at the Ferrari Driver Academy in Maranello this week, had to be postponed following a positive Covid-19 test by one of the four selected drivers.

The FIA Girls on Track – Rising Stars programme, an initiative set up by the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission, is now in its decisive stage and the Ferrari Driver Academy (FDA) will be playing its part. The aim is to promote women in motorsport and support talented girls between the ages of 12 and 16 as they seek to embark on a career as a professional racing driver.
