WEC: Lynn Fastest in final practice for Cadillac in Qatar

Cadillac Racing led the way in the final free practice before qualifying this afternoon as Alex Lynn steered the Cadillac V.Series R to the top of the timing screens

Lynn, who set the best time in each of the previous two sessions, peaks on a best of 1m40.667s. That time is 0.108s clear of the No.5 Porsche Penske 963 Hybrid Hypercar.

Matt Campbell claims a 1m40.847 as he continues to have an impressive start to his career as a WEC Hypercar driver after many years in LMGTE racing.

Placing third is the Callum IIott driven No.12 Hertz Team JOTA Porsche 963. The young British driver, who shares the cockpit with Norman Nato and Will Stevens, proves that the Golden Wonders could be in the fight for pole later this afternoon

Laurens Vanthoor in the No.6 Porsche Penske 963 takes fourth fastest lap time with a 1m41.156s best during the 60-minute session

Peugeot TotalEnergies are next up in fifth as Stoffel Vandoorne laps in a best time just 0.020s off the No.6 Porsche with a 1m41.176 best

The quickest Ferrari in FP3 is the No.83 AF Corse entry. Yifei Ye sets the best time in the car he shares with Robert Kubica and Robert Shwartzman

Ye’s time just out-paces the No.51 Ferrari AF Corse machine as Antonio Giovinazzi stops the clocks on a 1m41.326s best

No.93 Peugeot is eighth ahead of the No.7 Toyota Gazoo Racing entry and the No.50 Ferrari 499P.

Just outside the top 10 is the No.99 Proton Competition Porsche 963 as Julien Andlauer takes the best time on 1m41.986.

The top dozen is completed by the Alpine Endurance Team’s leading car, the No.36 A424 Hypercar driven by Nicolas Lapierre. 1.5s covers the top 12 cars in Hypercar
