FIA European Cup for Cross-Country Bajas
The FIA European Cup will once again be fought out over five events across the continent, but two new rounds have been included and will provide a fresh challenge for the contenders.
The European Cup kicks off with the newly introduced Baja Dehesa Extremadura, based in the western Spanish region bordering Portugal where remote areas of mountains, forests and lakes will be the setting. The series then moves on its second new event, Rally Greece Offroad in late May, before returning to more familiar territory on the Italian Baja, which also forms part of the World Cup. The Hungarian Baja runs in early August ahead of the season-ending Polish Baja in September, which also doubles with the FIA World Cup.
On events counting towards both series, competitors must specify they are competing in the Regional Cup only, giving them the opportunity to fight for their own title.
Titles will be awarded to Drivers, Co-drivers, Teams, T3 and T4 Drivers, as well as T4 Teams.
