Special visitors in the paddock for the Mexico City ePrix

FIA President Jean Todt and Mexico Mayor Miguel Angel Mancera visit the Hermanos Rodriguez Circuit.

The first ever Mexico City ePrix witnessed a significant moment this afternoon, when FIA President and the UN Secretary General’s Special Envoy, Jean Todt and the Mayor of the Mexican capital, Miguel Angel Mancera visited the Hermanos Rodriguez Circuit, along with José Abed, FIA Vicepresident for Sport and  President of the OMDAI and Carlos Slim Domit, the CEO of the Carso Group and Telmex, who is also a member of the FIA Senate. 

The group was welcomed by Formula E CEO, Alejandro Agag, who acted as tour guide, first of all in pit–lane, during the usual Friday shakedown and then in the paddock, paying particular attention to the stand hosted by the FIA, the Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP) and the Red Cross, as well as spending time at the eRace booth where tomorrow, nine of drivers who will tackle the real Mexico City ePrix will also challenge one another in the first eRace. Alongside them will also be the winner of the virtual race which is open to all the fans who will flock to the eVillage.
