In just under a year’s time, the Hakskeen Pan area in South Africa will be the scene of an attempt on the World Land Speed Record. The Bloodhound team will not only try to break the current record, set in 1997, of 763.035 mph (1227.985 km/h,) but also to take it past the 1000 mph barrier.
