The Bahrain Motor Federation (BMF) recently hosted an exciting six-week Summer Camp, a first-of-its-kind initiative designed for the children of BMF officials and marshals.

The program welcomed 28 participants, aged 10 to 14, both boys and girls, at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir and other key locations in Bahrain.

Under the leadership of BMF President, HE Shaikh Abdulla bin Isa Al Khalifa, who also serves as the FIA Vice President for Sport for MENA, the camp aimed to promote motor sport culture in Bahrain and educate future generations about motor sport and road safety.

BMF also aimed to inspire the young participants by introducing them to the roles of a Bahraini marshal, offering them hands-on experience and nurturing potential future BMF members.

HE Shaikh Abdulla expressed his satisfaction with the camp, stating, "We are pleased to have reached this milestone with the first-ever Summer Camp for the children of our BMF officials and marshals. The participants enjoyed valuable experiences and knowledge about the world of motor sport. Their high level of engagement and commitment confirms the presence of a significant number of motor sport fans and passionate individuals in the future generation."

The Summer Camp was made possible through collaboration with BIC, Bahrain International Karting Circuit (BIKC), the Bell Helmets Factory, and the General Directorate of Civil Defense.

During the camp, participants attended informative lectures, covering various aspects of motor sport, including marshalling, safety, medical services, car inspections, rescue procedures, and race management.

They also enjoyed tours of important BIC locations, a visit to the General Directorate of Civil Defense, and a fun outing at the indoor park Jump Up.

The camp featured mental and physical games and practical demonstrations, such as fire extinguishing techniques.

Participants had the opportunity to experience grassroots motorsport with racing at BIKC and engage in esports on a virtual BIC track.

BMF Director General Abdulaziz Al Thawadi, who also serves as the Motorsports Marshals Club President and FIA Volunteers and Officials Commission President, praised the camp's success, thanked partners, and expressed the organization's commitment to future initiatives aimed at nurturing Bahrain's thriving motorsport culture among youth.
