After another successful year in 2021, the FIA University, aiming at strengthening FIA Clubs worldwide and fostering experience-sharing, will propose four in-person and two online programmes in 2022 in collaboration with some of the world’s top business schools.

In 2021, the FIA University held two in-person and two online programmes that gathered 182 participants from 59 Clubs in 40 countries.

For this year, as the restricting measures related to the COVID-19 pandemic are being eased, the FIA University will resume its four tailor-made in-person programmes developed exclusively for FIA Member Clubs .

The FIA University Emerging Leaders Programme will take place at ESADE Business School in Barcelona from 16-20 May 2022. This upcoming five-day tailor-made edition will help participants build a relevant skill set to better understand their contribution to the broader strategic objectives of their organisation and develop innovative value-added solutions. The programme will address the following topics: Leadership & Strategy, Market Positioning, Strategic Communication, Innovation and Leading Change. It will include executive talks by FIA Clubs senior leaders, social events and networking opportunities. Registrations are now open to all FIA Members’ young leaders.
Senior Club leaders will have the opportunity to benefit from another programme of the FIA University with the registrations also being open for the next edition of the FIA University Senior Executive Programme that will take place from 17-19 October 2022 at the Ivy League Columbia Business School in New York. This fourth edition will address ‘Strategic & Quantitative Intuition’, ‘Negotiation Strategies’, ‘Persuasion’, ‘The New Reality of Brand Communication’ and practical case-studies over three days. It will give participants the chance to further improve operational and strategic agility, while challenging conventional wisdom.

Regional programmes will also be organised in 2022. The FIA University Region IV Latin American Leaders Programme, delivered in Spanish, will aim to assist Club Managers with the development and implementation of action plans to improve the long-term sustainability of their Clubs. The FIA University Region II Programme will support the development and implementation of Asia/Pacific Clubs’ strategy with the aim of achieving sustainable growth in their membership base and increasing the value of their services.

The FIA University also continues to develop its online learning offer.

For the past two years, the FIA University eLearning programme with Coursera, leading online learning platform, enabled over 200 participants from 67 Clubs worldwide to follow an individualised online Business training from leading universities worldwide.

For its third edition, registered Club representatives will have a one-year access to create their own curriculum and choose among a tailored offering of more than 400 pre-selected courses available in English, Spanish and French at the beginner, intermediate and advanced levels in:

‘Management & Leadership’; ‘Innovation & Business Strategy’; ‘Communication & Negotiation’; ‘Digital Transformation & Data Management’; ‘Mobility & Policy’.

As a new feature, participants will be able to use the 'SkillSets' feature to achieve specific job-based skills with course suggestions powered by AI.

Taking advantage from the knowledge acquired and the connections made while attending FIA University sessions, alumni will this year again be invited to participate in the third edition of an online programme facilitating collaboration and creative problem-solving among Clubs worldwide. The Experience-Sharing Working Groups have previously addressed the following topics: Scenario Planning, Evolution of Membership, Digitalisation of Membership & Rewards, Youth Engagement, Business, Brand and Member Experience.

FIA University Programmes are open for registration for FIA Members only, who can find more information on FIA Networks.
