Since driving schools had to suspend their activities due to the pandemic, the Automobile Club of Ecuador (ANETA) adapted its teaching methodologies. The theoretical classes of the driving courses for cars and motorcycles and the system for recovering lost driving license points are now conducted online through an e-learning platform.

With the partial reactivation of its activities, ANETA resumed classroom activities in cities where they are allowed.

It did so through a strict bio-security protocol that, among other things, makes it possible for the instructors to look for their students at home so that they can safely start their class from there.

As for the practical sessions, a number of preventive measures were taken, including an acrylic panel dividing the driver’s and passenger's seats, the use of masks and face shields, the sanitization of the units, the use of alcohol and antibacterial gel and the cleaning of the most used elements of the vehicle.

In addition, ANETA reinforced its contact and payment channels through e-commerce.
