In the final Free Practice session before Hyperpole at 21h00 this evening, the #36 Alpine Elf Matmut A480-Gibson topped the time sheets, with Nicolas Lapierre posting a 3m26.594 lap despite a spin in the latter stages of the session, just three tenths slower than the best time of the weekend so far set by the #7 Toyota GR010 during qualifying.

The #7 Toyota Gazoo Racing GR010-Hybrid was the quickest in the first three-hour practice session ahead of this weekend’s 89 th 24 Hours of Le Mans, with Jose Maria Lopez posting a 3m29.309 lap time, beating the #36 Alpine Elf Matmut A480-Gibson into second place by just 0.086s and another 0.001s ahead of the #8 Toyota.

The 62 cars that will compete in the 89 th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (21-22 August) lined up for the tradition group shot on the grid at the Circuit de La Sarthe. The 2021 24 Hours of Le Mans is Round 5 of the 2021 FIA World Endurance Championship.
