The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the mobility patterns for over a billion people around the globe. Governments the world over have focused on managing continuity and implementing programmes to ensure recovery. However, despite the modelling and predictions of what the future may hold, uncertainty abounds. We know the crisis will end, but what will remain of the changes that have been enacted? Will recent initiatives aimed at making urban mobility safer, more sustainable and more accessible remain in place over the long term? Or will they become impractical and inefficient should large sections of the population return to previous mobility habits?

Very involved in his role as President of the FIA International Karting Commission, Felipe Massa was determined to meet the different players in the 2020 FIA Karting Competitions, first during the European Championship - OK & Junior in July, then in Italy at the World Championship - KZ. Despite the tight schedule between August and November, the Brazilian was pleased with the success of the current racing season.

In 2018 ADAC Luftrettung , a 100% subsidiary of the ADAC Foundation devoted to air rescue, started the first worldwide feasibility study on the use of manned multicopters in rescue services. The results of the study are now out and confirmed that air rescue with manned multicopters is possible, sensible and improves the emergency medical care.

Initially scheduled to take place in Brazil, the FIA Karting World Championship - OK & Junior has been rescheduled very early in the season in Portugal to cope with the difficulties generated by the COVID-19 pandemic. 177 Drivers are committed to participating in the last and probably most exciting Competition of the season at the Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve from 5th to 8th November 2020.
