The FIA Girls on Track program is set to expand its reach to the Australia’s Northern Territory in 2024, with two events scheduled for June. In collaboration with Motorsport Australia, Motorsport NT and Major Events NT, this initiative aims to boost participation of young women in motorsport. Following a successful edition last year, the program returns to Darwin while venturing to Alice Springs for the first time.

The inaugural Inspire event in Alice Springs will take place on Thursday, June 6th at the Alice Springs Inland Dragway, preceding the renowned Tatts Finke Desert Race, with Girls on Track Ambassador, Kate Peck, and Girls on Track Champion, Nicole Bryant on hand to assist with the event.

The following week, the program heads to Darwin for an event at the famous Hidden Valley Raceway on Friday, June 14th, coinciding with the Repco Supercars Championship's Darwin Triple Crown.

Open to girls aged 8 to 15, both events aim to spark interest in STEM subjects through interactive activities and workshops showcasing career pathways in motorsport.
Registration for these events is available for interested participants.

Motorsport NT President, Gary Pendlebury, expressed enthusiasm for hosting two programs in the Territory this year, thanking supporters and emphasizing the importance of Girls in Sport initiatives.
