Race 3

Norbert Kiss claimed his second win of the 2017 FIA European Truck Racing Championship season in as many days. The Tankpool24 Racing driver, who to a convincing pole yesterday, qualified second after struggling for grip in the Super Pole session.

Pole sitter Jochen Hahn didn’t manage to hold on to the lead as he went three abreast into Turn 1 with Kiss and Antonio Albacete.  It initially looked like Albacete would emerge as the  leader following a storming start from the second row. But it was Kiss who dived down the inside and found himself in the best positon in to Turn 2. From then on the race was a one man show as the Hungarian controlled his pace and gradually increased his gap over the chasing pack.

Behind Kiss it was very close for most of the running with drivers in places two to five running very close to each other.

Hahn, after being swallowed up by both Kiss and Albacete, then guarded third place in his Hahn Racing Iveco to score his second podium finish of the weekend.
