CIK-FIA & WOMEN IN MOTORSPORT COMMISSION SEARCH FOR A YOUNG KARTER

The FIA Women in Motorsport Commission and the CIK-FIA have renewed their association for a second season with the objective of rewarding an up and coming young female kart racer with a funded drive in the 2012 CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy, a low-cost educational formula.
  
Working in association with the National Sporting Authorities around the globe, 11 young kart racers born between 1997 and 1999 have been selected to take part in a shoot-out in Italy on 2 June. The selection process will incorporate a mix of theory, presentation and driving activities and the driver deemed to have demonstrated the greatest potential will receive a free entry to the 2012 CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy, along with a kart from the official supplier and free overalls (the prize excludes testing tyres, fuel, service team and damage to the equipment).

The 2012 CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy takes place over three races, in addition to the official pre-season test session. And, this season, race weekends will also address highly-important issues relating to safety, driving conduct and the anti-doping code.
