Permanent Accreditation
Due to the restrictions on international travel and attendance at events during the 2021 season, all 2021 permanent passholders will be automatically approved for 2022 – however you still need to apply for your 2022 permanent accreditation using the Accreditation Management System (F1.ams.fia.com). If you do not apply within deadline, your pass will not be automatically approved and you will need to apply for race-by-race passes should you wish to continue to attend events.
The deadline for permanent pass applications is 15 February.
Once you have applied for your permanent 2022 pass, please note the following:
Access to events in 2022 will still be subject to the requirements set out in Appendix S to the International Sporting Code and all local health authority requirements. During the World Motor Sport Council of December 2021, updates to Appendix S were approved, which have relaxed several key limitations on media attendees at Formula 1 events.
We are no longer obliged to implement social distancing measures in all Media Centres, therefore permanent media no longer need to apply for each event individually.
It is possible that at some events there may need to be limitations imposed due to local health authority regulations. In such cases we will make the media aware of any new requirements and will accommodate as many people as possible and operate a rota system in case of over-subscription.
Race-by-Race Accreditation
Due to the relaxation of some social distancing requirements, the capacity of Media Centres at FIA Formula One World Championship events has been increased, and general international race-by-race accreditation is therefore open for all events in 2022.
All applications must be lodged at least four weeks in advance of the race except where local COVID regulations require additional time.
