A dinner was held at Daniel Pienaar Technical High School in Kariega to celebrate two significant achievements: the presentation of the FIA President’s Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Award to the school, and the recognition of nine South African motorsport legends. The high school, the only one in South Africa offering motorsport as a school sport, was honoured for its commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in the sport.

Fifteen-year-old Taylor Hill is defying the odds and living her dream of becoming a karting enthusiast, despite being born with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disorder (CMT), a degenerative hereditary nerve disease. While most teenagers her age eagerly anticipate getting their learner's driving license, Taylor's true passion lies in the world of karting.
