On 31 January, the FIA Region I launched the 3rd edition of its Start-Up Challenge with the aim to connect start-ups with innovative mobility and assistance solutions to the FIA Region I network in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

FIA Region I start-up challenge

Mobility Clubs are trustworthy brands and have a strong membership base, built over the years thanks to a wide range of services. They are constantly looking for new ways to assist members in their daily lives. By connecting with Clubs, start-ups may get a chance to test their ideas, get valid feedback, and possibly penetrate large markets in partnership with FIA Region I’s Clubs.

This year’s edition features four categories: Cars, Mobility, Assistance, and Road Safety. Start-ups with innovative ideas on car related services, mobility services, or wider assistance services - such as home, health, lifestyle, or personal assistance - are invited to participate in the challenge.

Solutions that address consumers’ daily needs are welcome. The FIA Region I Start-Up Challenge is an excellent opportunity for start-ups to reach a wide network, increase visibility, and possibly find qualified partners to test and launch their ideas.

Selected start-ups will have multiple opportunities to meet business development experts and marketing professionals of leading Mobility Clubs of the network, and will be invited to attend an in-person event in October 2023 to present their solutions.

Interested start-ups need to have at least a proof of concept or a minimum viable product and have a full-time CEO and CTO (Chief Technology Officer) or equivalent. Throughout 2023, they will benefit from multiple opportunities to pitch their ideas to FIA Region I’s Mobility Club experts, business development staff and decision-makers.
