WEC – no7 Toyota Makes it Three From Three in FP3

The final free practice session for the 6 Hours of Monza saw Jose-Maria Lopez set the fastest time seen so far this weekend in the No.7 Toyota GR010-Hybrid which has topped all three sessions so far. Porsche again led Ferrari in LMGTE Pro, while JOTA took over the top of the class times in LMP2 and AF Corse were fastest in LMGTE Am.

Hypercar  
  • Jose-Maria Lopez in No7 Toyota GR010-Hybrid Hypercar takes 0.7s off this morning's best time as Argentinian sets a best lap of 1m36.137s 
  • No8 Toyota is second as Brendon Hartley sets 1m37.208s to make it a second 1-2 for Toyota Gazoo Racing so far this week 
  • A 1m37.659s best from Pipo Derani ensures Glickenhaus Racing continue to show strong pace with the distinctive Glickenhaus 007 LMH design 
  • Alpine ELF Matmut place fourth although team is forced to make repairs from earlier crash on final lap of the FP2 session this morning.
  • The second Glickenhaus 007 LMH car is fifth as Romain Dumas claims a best of 1m38.009s 

LMGTE Pro  
  • Porsche form continues in LMGTE Pro class as no91 Porsche 911 RSR-19 driven by Gimmi Bruni heads the pack 
  • The Italian’s 1m46.253s best lap heads the chasing Ferraris by 0.3s 
  • No51 Ferrari 488 GTE Evo driven by James Calado and Alessandro Pierguidi is second ahead of sister Ferrari of Miguel Molina and Daniel Serra 
  • No92 Porsche 911 RSR-19 of Neel Jani and Kevin Estre places fourth   

LMP2  
  • JOTA heads tight LMP2 class with Stoffel Vandoorne claiming top spot with a peak of 1m38.910s 
  • The Belgian leads the United Autosports USA car driven by Filipe Albuquerque who laps just 0.2s shy of P1 team 
  • Risi Competizione continue to show strong progress as Felipe Nasr sets a 1m39.211s lap to take third place on teams’ first race in LMP2 in the WEC.  
  • Dragonspeed USA in fourth are the leading Pro/Am entry with Henrik Hedman being partnered by Ben Hanley and Juan Pablo Montoya again this weekend
 
LMGTE Am  
  • Ferrari leads Porsche in frantic LMGTE Am class battle 
  • Nicklas Nielsen takes first in session for the no83 AF Corse squad with a best of 1m47.080s 
  • That out-paces the No.56 Team Project 1 entry driven by Matteo Cairoli who is just 0.087s off the Dane 
  • In third place Alessio Picariello sets a last lap best of 1m47.331 to snatch third position 
  • Cetilar Racing bounce back from FP1 accident as Antonio Fuoco sets late time of 1m47.365s to grab fourth for hometown team 
  • Top 11 in class covered by just 1.005s in ultra-competitive category which has a bumper 16 car entry this weekend 

Qualifying for the 6 Hours of Monza takes place this afternoon with the first 10-minute session for LMGTE starting at 18h00.
