Many Ikatan Motor Indonesia’s (IMI) National Federations are working to help their societies to win the battle against the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Ikatan Motor Indonesia (IMI) has launched a campaign called "Protect Yourself" to provide local communities with assistance and protecting devices.

In some of the provinces, the IMI together with clubs carried out social activities, distributing protective devices and masks for doctors and nurses in hospitals. Disinfectants were also sprayed around specific residential areas.

During the lockdown, the IMI provided food and drinks for motorcyclist taxi riders whose daily income comes from working on streets.

IMI East Jawa Province made also a video message "Stay at Home" in which the chairman and some members and riders are sending their encouraging messages to the people.

On the motor sport side, the Indonesian Automobile Club will run again the Indonesia Digital Motorsport Championship (IDMC) in June 2020, in order to fill the void of left by suspension of national motor sport activities.

“The outbreak of Covid-19 disease has cause the world to take a rest. I hope the crisis will be gone soon”, said IMI President Mr. Sadikin Aksa. “Stay safe, healthy and keep the spirits high together with your closed ones,” he concluded.
