Registrations open for 2018 FIA ERC

Drivers planning to contest the FIA European Rally Championship in 2018 can register to do so following the opening of registrations at the FIA.

Drivers planning to contest the FIA European Rally Championship in 2018 can register to do so following the opening of registrations at the FIA.

In order to provide ERC competitors with the most cost-effective international platform in rallying, registration fees have been reduced considerably for 2018 as follows:

ERC1: €2000 (33% reduction from 2017)
ERC2: €1000 (50% reduction from 2017)
ERC3: €500 (50% reduction from 2017)

For this season, only registered drivers can score points making registration essential for those aiming to chase honours in the ERC1, ERC2 and ERC3 categories. And by registering, drivers will take advantage of several additional benefits, including:

*Priority status and eligibility to score championship points
*Entry into Free Practice and Qualifying Stage
*Start order priority for opening leg of each event
*Team allocated preferential area in service park with facilities
*All-season passes and full documentation package
*Promotion through the ERC press office, social media channels, website, TV production and live radio
*Access to photo and video library
*Invitation to end-of-season prize-giving ceremony

ERC Junior Championship registrations
Drivers planning to contest the FIA ERC Junior Under 28 Championship must first register with the FIA as an ERC1 driver and then register with the ERC promoter Eurosport Events. Drivers planning to contest the FIA ERC Junior Under 27 Championship must first register with the FIA as an ERC3 driver and then register with Eurosport Events. The entry fee for ERC Junior Under 28 or ERC Junior Under 27 is €1000 payable to Eurosport Events.

For the first time, the ERC Junior U27 fee will include enrolment into ERC Junior Experience training sessions. More information and a registration form is available here.

ERC calendar reminder
The 2018 ERC will be contested over eight events, three on asphalt and five on gravel. The season gets underway with the Azores Airlines Rallye from 22-24 March and concludes with Rally Liepāja in Latvia from 12-14 October.
