Timmy Hansen ends day one of the FIA European Rallycross Championship at Lydden Hill topping the table ahead of his Hansen Motorsport team mates Timur Timerzyanov and Alexander Hvaal.

The former single-seater racer was fastest in both of the first two heats.

“I’m really happy with how it’s going.” He said. “The car has been really, really good today.”

Norwegian World Rally Champion Petter Solberg didn’t have the best of times, a false start in the first heat was followed by clutch problems and damaged suspension from contact with the barrier. The second heat went better for the rallycross returnee, setting second fastest time.

Leading Super1600 overnight is rallycross debutant Kevin Eriksson, who was second fastest in heat one and fastest of all in the second heat after a close flight with Eric Faren.
TouringCar is lead by David Nordgaard after two heats.

A fourth and first fastest time puts him at the head of the leader board, but the rest of the pack are biting at his heals.
