Teams within the FIA World Endurance Championship are this week helping to support the “Great East Japan Earthquake Children Support Project”.

A fund-raising auction will be held on Sunday, 14th October during the 6 Hours of Fuji for which teams and drivers have donated memorabilia.

The mission of the project is to continually support children who have been affected by the earthquake, helping them through until they are able to be independent.  Through various activities, such as home stay programmes in New Zealand and charity dinners, the project aims to give children an opportunity to discover the world and to build an inner confidence as they develop in to adulthood. With the earthquake-related news slowly fading out from the media, there is still a great need for help, especially for children who have yet to support themselves on their own.

The auction will take place on the event stage in the paddock from 1420-1450 hours.  If you are at Fuji Speedway, please go along if you can and help support this very worthy cause.
