The international grade D licence joins the licences already admitted for participation in the competitions of the FIA European Hill Climb Championship and FIA International Hill Climb Cup.

On decision of the World Motor Sport Council, which met in Geneva on 20 March, the international grade D licence is now admitted, with immediate effect, for participation in all competitions of the 2015 FIA European Hill Climb Championship and FIA International Hill Climb Cup.

The conditions for obtaining such a grade D licence are defined in Appendix L to the International Sporting Code.

The D licence now joins the A, B, C and R grade international licences which were already authorised for participation in the FIA Hill Climb Championship and Cup. Any driver wishing to compete in these hill climbs remains under the obligation to also hold a car driving licence. The sporting regulations (accessible via this link) of the Championship and Cup have been updated accordingly.

The FIA European Hill Climb Championship will commence on 11 and 12 April in France, in Saint Jean du Gard, on the occasion of the 43rd edition of the Course de Côte du Col Saint Pierre. As for the FIA International Hill Climb Cup, it will open with its first competition, the Subida Ubrique, two weeks later, on 25 and 26 April in Spain.
