THEME AND TOPICS

This is the first time that the FIA and its 130 ASN’s worldwide can come together to discuss and address the pressing issues of motorsport facing all of us. This new annual event will identify challenges, propose practical solutions, and shape motorsport opinion. It will herald the beginning of a new stronger partnership between the FIA and ASN’s round the globe. With key note speakers, expert panels, and practical workshops the Sport Conference Week will focus on the following Topics.

Current challenges facing the ASNs

  • Keeping motorsport strong and ASN’s thriving in this challenging decade.
  • Ensuring safe motorsport,
  • Addressing sustainability and environmental issues,
  • Promoting grassroots motor sport,
  • Attracting new officials, volunteers, women, and young people to motorsport,
  • Development of new efficient motorsport technology,
  • The emergence of new markets for motorsport in the regions worldwide,
  • Attracting sponsors and ensuring long term growth to attract more fans and bigger audiences.

How to work together to overcome the current challenges

  • A global analysis of the needs and expectations of the ASN’s through a comprehensive survey underway, and plenary sessions at the Conference with open discussion.
  • Identification of the priority list for ASN’s in the years to come.
  • Speakers and Panels will demonstrate the best practice for ASN’s with focused workshops and toolkits,
  • How can the FIA better support it’s ASN in their goal remain strong and to develop motorsport?
  • A new FIA strategy will be showcased and discussed to ensure ongoing strengthening of our ASN’s,
  • A new focused global sport development programme for the FIA will be affirmed,
  • How can the FIA better support its ASN in their goal to develop motorsport in the regions?
  • What current services are provided by the FIA and the wider FIA Family, FIA Institute, FIA Foundation) to support ASN’s, and what will be needed in the years to come?
