DID YOU KNOW IT?

May 5, 2012 – The second race of the new FIA WEC, and the traditional dress rehearsal for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.  Several ELMS teams were invited to attend to help with their preparations for this cornerstone of the FIA WEC.  Audi swept the board with a 1-2-3 finish overall, while in LMGTE Proton Porsche finished just ahead of two Ferraris.

May 4, 2013 – Held in bright sunshine and summer temperatures, the LMGTE battle held everyone’s attention right to the chequered flag and it was Ferrari who narrowly triumphed in both the LMGTE classes.  At the front of the field, Audi’s opposition dropped away in the second half of the race to give them their second 1-2-3 finish in two years.  The race’s only major incident involved Antonio Pizzonia’s  Delta-ADR Oreca which crashed out of the race at Eau Rouge.
