DID YOU KNOW?

1982 - Endurance racing began a rich history at Fuji International Speedway when a round of the Sports Car World Championship was contested at the circuit located at the foot of the world famous Mount Fuji.

2005 - Fuji International Speedway was rebuilt to its current configuration.

October 2012 – FSW hosted the Japanese round of the new FIA World Endurance Championship, with 40,000 Japanese fans travelling to see Kazuki Nakajima take the chquered flag to secure a Toyota win on home soil.

October 2013 – A second win for Toyota was marred by the extreme weather conditions caused by Typhoon Wipha that forced the event to be declared after only 16 laps behind  the Safety Car.

2014 -  The Grand Marshal for the 6 Hours of Fuji will be six-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans Henri Pescarolo.
