Following the postponement or cancellation of all but two of the nine rounds of the 2020 FIA European Historic Sporting Rally Championship (EHSRC) due to the global Covid19 pandemic, the FIA World Motor Sport Council has approved a revised five round 2020 championship beginning in Austria in September and concluding in Spain at the end of November.

The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) organised its first Sport and Mobility eConference from 15 to 18 June. It gathered almost 1,000 registrants from 243 Member Clubs in 146 countries, working together on the future of motor sport and mobility worldwide.

The 88th 24 Hours of Le Mans, postponed to 19-20 September, will follow a particularly action-packed four-day schedule that promises to be as intense and as exciting as ever for the 62 teams involved. Between Thursday 17 and Sunday 20 September, we will see four free practice sessions, qualifying, the Hyperpole session and a warm-up, culminating with the 24-hour endurance race itself.

The Austrian Grand Prix inaugurated this year’s Formula 1 season, in what was the first major international sporting event since the Covid-19 crisis. Prior to the resumption of racing, Dr Harald Hertz, President of the Austrian Motorsport Federation (AMF) and Vice President of the Austrian Motoring and Touring Club (ÖAMTC), outlined the work undertaken to get back on track.
