Not a minute to lose for the 2014 CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy

The 5th running of the CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy promises to be more exciting than ever and the entry list is constantly filling with new candidates for victory. The involvement of a large number of countries promises competitive racing throughout 2014.

36 countries have already responded to this global competition aimed at revealing the talent of tomorrow through a one-make formula whose sporting fairness has already ensured the success of the previous four series'. Some nations have applied for a second or even a third representative, that's how much the places are coveted. ASNs who aren't yet involved in the 2014 CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy do not have a moment to lose in registering their representative before the list is closed. The maximum number of entries is 51 drivers, including a place reserved for the female selection by the FIA 'Women in Motorsport' commission.

The three events on the calendar in 2014 will be held at Genk (B) from 12th to 15th May, Wackersdorf (D) 10th to 13th July and Sarno (I) on 9th to 12th October, as part of major karting events. Available to drivers without international experience as well as to those who are competing in CIK-FIA events for the first year, the 2014 CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy will use a single make of equipment (Parolin chassis, FIM engine, Bridgestone tyres) assigned by lottery.

The regulations for the 2014 CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy are now available on www.cikfia.com.
