Ferrari Challenge APAC

Today’s race at the Shanghai circuit was very closely contested and featured plenty of wheel to wheel action. Victory in this first race at the third round of the season for the Ferrari Challenge Asia Pacific went to China’s Anthony Liu.

Having started from pole, Liu controlled the race from start to finish, winning in a time of 28’48’’653, as well as setting the race fastest lap in 2’12’’026. Second was Philippe Prette from Hong Kong, closely followed by Angelo Negro.

Carlo van Dam from the Netherlands took the Pirelli Pro category honours, heading home the series leader Max Blancardi. As for the Coppa Shell, once again Indonesia’s David Tjiptobiantoro, was first past the flag to record his fifth consecutive win. Behind him was Australia’s Paul van Loenhout, while on the bottom rung of the podium, we find Singaporean Gregory Teo.

Tomorrow, it starts all over again when Race 2 gets underway at 14h30 local time.
