Jean Todt visits Tour de Corse

04.10.15
FIA President Jean Todt has visited the Tour de Corse; the return of the French round of the FIA World Rally Championship to the famed roads of Corsica.

For the first time since 2008, World Rally Cars are again gracing the roads of the ‘Isle of Beauty’ – despite the torrential rain that has struck the island over the last week.

Mr Todt was hosted by Nicolas Deschaux, President of the Fédération Française du Sport Automobile (FFSA), the French National Sporting Authority and organiser of the event.

The Tour de Corse is a key event for the FIA Action for Road Safety campaign, where the FIA will promote its “10 Golden Rules for Safer Motoring” to rallygoers that brave the wild weather – conditions that certainly speak to a requirement for a conscious approach to driving.

Mr Todt and Mr Deschaux, members of the World Council, WRC drivers and co-drivers all visited the FIA stand located in the Service Park as a communication tool for spectators…

There, they spoke with fans about the need to strictly pledge their support for the “10 Golden Rules” and to promote them among their circles.

The FIA World Rally Championship’s Tour de Corse concludes today, Sunday 4th October.
