The second round of the 2016 Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth gets underway this weekend (6-8 May) at the Adria International Raceway. Based on what we saw at Misano at the onset season, the races will be hard fought and the outcome uncertain right up to the chequered flag.

With points on offer not just for the overall ranking, but also the Rookie Trophy, the Women’s Trophy and the team ranking, there will be plenty of battles to look out for right the way through the field.

Mick Schumacher is currently in first place in the overall ranking, followed by Raul Guzman and Marcos Siebert. Juri Vips is in top spot for the Rookie Trophy, with Joao Correa and Giacomo Altoè close behind. Fabienne Wohlwend leads the Women’s Trophy, while Prema Power Team heads the team’s contest ahead of Jenzer Motorsport and DR Formula.

Enthusiasts can follow the races live on Sportitalia (channel 60 of the DTT and 225 on Sky) and on national TV, but Motors TV is also providing coverage of the Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth events in more than 40 countries around the world, with a 24 minute broadcast. The programme will be shown the week following that of the race (all information can be found on the Motors TV site) and will allow you to relive the most significant moments of the three days of races.
