Historic Motor Sport : Decisions of the World Council

14.04.14
Gathered in Marrakech, the FIA World Council took the following decisions regarding historic motor sport.

The 2014 Sporting Regulations of the FIA Masters Historic Formula One Championship and FIA Masters Historic Sports Car Championship were the subject of clarifications and amendments in respect to their 2013 versions. These changes concerned minimum pit stop times (Sports Cars only), use of data acquisition systems, use of reserve cars, authorised fuel and rules governing tyre use, e.g. limiting to four the number of slicks per Formula One driver and per competition.

Specifications applicable to the Lola T70s are now integrated in Appendix VII to Appendix K. The whole Lola T70 range of cars must be equipped with the Hewland LG600 MkI gearbox. For the MkIIIB, the minimum weight is set to 860 kg and the exhaust system is regulated as 4 into 1 primary pipe where the car runs unsilenced, but the 4 into 2 into 1 primary system may be used when the car has to be silenced.
