FIA European Truck Championship Hungarian Grand Prix - Preview

Just one week after the round in Most, the teams are now in Budapest – 25 years after the last Hungarian truck Grand Prix

The Hungary Truckfest will take place on the 5th and 6th of September. The Hungaroring circuit is very famous all around the world due to Formula One. A really nice track, 4381 m length, very close to Budapest.

The local hero is Norbert Kiss, the 2014 European Champion. He is very well known and appreciate in his country with a lot of fans on social medias. He is on the lead of the overall standings with 374 points. For sure, a lot of Norbi fans will be there in the tribunes and in the paddock to see him and speak with their great Champion!

The Buggyra team had a very good weekend at home last week and Adam Lacko scored 50 points. He is actually second but Jochen Hahn in third position scored also 50 points. These 3 drivers have a very big, but fair, fight together.

David Vrsecky and Antonio Albacete are very close, further we have René Reinert and Anthony Janiec. Anthony won only 8 points in Czech Republic, The Lion Truck Racing should find what was wrong.

The 2 women German drivers, Steffi Halm and Ellen Lohr, are respectively 9th and 10th. Steffi made a nice podium on the third place of the race 2. The spectators are always impressed by their motivation and their determination on the track.

The 2 Mercedes trucks of Tankpool 24 team had a lot of mecanics troubles in Most. Roland Rehfeld won still 3 points. The set-up of the trucks is difficult and they hope to find a solution in Hungaria.
Don't forget Erwin Kleinnagelvoort, the Dutch driver is always there, it's an amateur team bur really motivate, that's the truck racing spirit!

The race by race drivers in Hungaria are Frankie Vojtisek, Steffi Halm and Sascha Lentz.

The next event will take place in Belgium in 2 weeks on the Zolder Track.
