The Macedonian marvel is embarking on his first circuit racing campaign for almost a decade and has chosen the ETCC for the significant challenge it presents.

Following a point-scoring debut at Circuit Paul Ricard in France earlier this month, Stefanovski is preparing for ETCC Race of Slovakia Ring this week (15-17 April) in his Lema Racing SEAT.

“We go to Slovakia and we will again try to compete for the best possible result, with the skill and the wisdom that we collected in France,” said Stefanovski. “At the moment, ETCC is a quantum leap for me from the last two seasons, where I won the European Hill Climb Championship and people should know that I am back on the circuit races for the first time since 2007. The things that you all should expect is the champion character and the fighting spirit that I have, that's a promise!”

Of his ETCC debut, Stefanovski added: “We had big issues in the first race but we still managed to take some points, so from this point of view it was a successful start for me and my team. The car was very hard to drive after the collision on the very first lap of the first race. It was impossible to make the repairs in the short time between the two races so I had to start from the back. Nevertheless, I am very pleased because we managed to take some points, proving that we won't be only tourists, although I am the rookie. It was a big test for us, we started the second race to collect as much data as we could, and I think we did it as good as we could."
