Following various international press reports quoting extracts from a letter sent by the FIA President to the full membership of the FIA on Friday, May 16, the FIA has decided that in the interests of complete accuracy the entire contents of that letter should be made public.
A copy of the letter has therefore been published on the FIA web site (www.fia.com).
The FIA would also confirm that it has noted reports in the British press today that a member of the British Secret Services was involved in an operation by the British tabloid newspaper the News of the World against the FIA President.
At this stage the FIA has no comment to make on these reports.
