The FIA International Court of Appeal met in Paris on Tuesday, July 24, 2007, to examine an appeal lodged on behalf of PK Racing in relation to a Stewards’ decision taken during the GT Championship at an event run at Oschersleben (D) on 8 July 2007.
Following a report from the FIA Technical Delegate, the Stewards decided to exclude the competitor after it was found that the quantity of fuel on car N°4 was in excess of the 100 litres permitted.
Having heard the explanations of both parties and having examined the various documents and other evidence, the Court confirmed the decision of the Panel of the Stewards to exclude the competitor.
The International Court of Appeal was presided over by Mr Xavier CONESA (Spain), elected President, and composed of Mr Reginald REDMOND (Ireland) and Mr Jan STOVICEK (Czech Republic).
The full text of the International Court of Appeal’s decision is available, on request, from the secretariat of the FIA International Court of Appeal in Paris.
