The FIA Institute has won an international award for the development of its Advanced Side Impact Safety System, which was introduced into the FIA World Rally Championship this season.

Former US President Bill Clinton has given his support to Make Roads Safe and signed the call for a Decade of Action for Road Safety, which targets a 50 per cent reduction in road deaths.

Michael Schumacher joined Costa Rica’s Transport Minister Karla Gonzalez in San Jose to promote safety in the country and call for further action to reduce road accidents in developing countries.
