Began in Formula Atlantic, competed for Fred Opert Racing in L & M Continental Series in BT-29 and BT-35 in U. S. Also in Canada, Mexico, Colombia and England. Also drove for Shierson Racing in Daytona 24 hours and Sebring 12 Hours in Chevron B-19; in Japan invitational F2 race in a Chevron B-18. Drove Miller & Norburn BMWs in IMSA, winning two national championships and more races than any other driver in the history of the series. Introduced BMW 3-series on track with a victory at Daytona. Elected to the Road Racing Drivers Club in 1974.
