November | December 2009 Issue
Welcome to the new version of FIA InMotion magazine, the FIA’s external publication for member clubs, sport and mobility stakeholders, and the media.
Over the last 12 months, the FIA has evolved this publication to incorporate additional content from both sporting and mobility areas and to make it genuinely representative of the entire FIA network.
InMotion has now reached another turning point, becoming the official joint publication of the FIA, FIA Foundation and FIA Institute to reflect the progressive and complementary work of all three organisations.
The bi-monthly journal will continue to feature global club news, interviews with senior figures from the FIA network, club profiles and special reports on sport and mobility issues. Additionally, the publication now integrates the former InSafety magazine with features on safety-related advances and a new section called FIA Institute News dedicated to motor sport safety projects and education programmes. The FIA Foundation News section will feature the latest developments in the FIA Foundation-supported research and campaigns.
In this edition, we present three special reports, the first introducing the readership to the FIA’s new leadership team and outlining President Jean Todt’s action plan and priorities for the next four years. A second report profiles outgoing president Max Mosley and his achievements during his 16 years at the FIA. Finally, a special report on the World Rally Championship investigates the latest technical, environmental and promotional developments in the FIA’s premier rally championship.
Thank you to all those who have contributed to InMotion magazine. All members, as well as sporting and mobility stakeholders, are encouraged to continue contributing to future issues.
