Following unanimous agreement at its annual General Assembly in October, the FIA Institute has expanded its remit to address motor sport sustainability issues as well as safety.

The Global Ministerial Conference on road safety has approved the Moscow Declaration, which calls for a Decade of Action for Road Safety as proposed by the Make Roads Safe campaign.

An international seminar to examine overtaking in motor sport, attended by key stakeholders from Formula One, NASCAR, IRL and other major championships, was hosted by the FIA in Paris.
